CITY: ARGON-TIS/ LOCATION: OUTSIDE CENTRAL STATION
Even though he had seen it many times, the Tronian capital city of Argon-Tis still amazed Joey. The buildings around him reached as high as 200 stories. They had arrived in the business sector of Argon-Tis, the most busy place in Tron and one of the only places in Tron where buildings were over two stories high, or made of metal. Even with all this metal and concrete this area of the sector was still amazingly clean and had Trees and gardens lining the roads. There are also no cars on Tron, the most common forms of personal transportation being walking and LFL Scooters, a scooter like device that levitates about 3 inches off the ground and can go up to 30 mph (legal speeds on public walkways are about 15 mph) .
Joey and Josh booth looked up in awe at the shiny glass and metal buildings towering above their heads. They turned left from the station and began walking east down the large street populated with people(Tantar, Tronians etc.) walking and people on LFL Scooters. The two made their way to a large white glass and steel building that's shape greatly resembled a castle. They entered through the doors into a large hallway and were instantly greeted by NEXO's hologram. "Oh, hello you two, the commander is expecting you, this way please." NEXO began leading them through the facility down a few hallways until they finally came to a door with some Argonian(Tantar letters) writing on it, and had a large blue oval with a gold star with a gold line below it. "Well here we are." NEXO commented and disappeared as Joey opened the door and walked into the room.
Commander Nek stood facing out the window that made up the entire back wall of his office. "Greetings officers Joseph and Jen-She." Nek then turned around to face them. "Your mission is to travel to the Universe Nerrum NLX and find the source of the distress signal and assist whoever sent the signal. Being a level nine this may be very dangerous, although you two were involved in the last level nine so you should know."
"Wait did you say NERRUM nlx? Joey asked surprised.
"Yes, I did, that is part of the reason I picked you two, as Joey you are from Nerrum 8. This is also why I have to warn you about Alters."
"Alters?" Joey asked confused.
Just as Nek was about to begin his explanation Josh cut in, "Alters are alternate versions of someone or something in another universe. Since all Nerrum universes are alternate realities of Nerrum Main, and the other universes that budded from it, including yours Joey, there are many of the same people places and things, in fact most nearly all Nerrums contain an earth." Josh stood proud and smiled.
"Thank you very much officer Jen-She" Nek grunted.
"So they are like exact copies of me? Joey questioned, still a little confused.
"No, not exact copies", Nek quickly answered before Josh could chime in, "they can be extremely different, none of them share your power, and all have different souls. Your souls can become intertwined though if you interact with your alter too much. Once your sols become intertwined you will feel everything they feel, and if they are hurt or are killed, you will be too."
"Okay, so no touchy the other mes.", Joey said a little freaked out.
"But I don't have to worry, I'm one and only, completely unique!" Josh boasted proudly.
"Oh you're unique alright, you better not get to cocky or you'll get your soul tan-"
Joey was suddenly cut of by Nek."He's right."
"What"
"Josh doesn't have an alter, no Tantars do. There are no alternate versions of the Trisillion universe, and Tantar's souls don't anchor to universes like other creatures, meaning they don't exists in bud-offs of that universe."
Before josh could brag again NEXO's voice came from the monitor on the wall, accompanied by his avatar, " I apologize for interrupting, but transportation to Nerrum NLX is now online. The link is to the closest area with the best specifications for transport, PLANET: EARTH, LOCATION: TIME'S SQUARE, NEW YORK CITY. Fortunately for you Josh you will need no disguise as this is an activated universe, and you can walk around freely as a Tantar."
"Well you better get going." Nek pointed to the door then turned back toward the window.
Joey looked past him out the window and saw the sun setting over the skyline across Midst park. Joey just stood in awe for a moment before Josh pulled him out the door by the arm.
UNIVERSE: NERRUM NLX/ PLANET: EARTH / LOCATION: TIME'S SQUARE, NEW YORK CITY
A portal suddenly appeared on the sidewalk and the duo stepped out onto the sidewalk. "Okay josh first thing we have to do is-" Joey stopped talking as he looked up, a look of utter disbelief on his face.
"Joey......Joey?!" Josh said as he waved his hand in front of Joey's face, "What are you looking at Joey? There's nothing here!"
"Joey just continued to stair into the completely empty street, "Exactly."
